To market, to market we go

MIDRAND – Visitors enjoy time spent shopping at the Country Market.

Families recently enjoyed a day of shopping and delicious food at the Country Market held at Kyalami Country Pub and Restaurant.

Event organiser, Cheryl Tsimogiannis was pleased by how the day went. “We do this market every first week of the month and we are very happy with the turnout and the people who came to put up stalls.”

Live music featuring singer, Gavin Hooker from Midrand kept visitors entertained and stalls offered a variety of creative works of art, delicious food, jewellery, wooden carvings, denim designs, wire creations, natural healing products, organic soaps, homemade chilli sauce, freshly baked spoils, doggy treats and more.

An entrepreneur from the Vege Boys stand, Ntsako Khoza, sold fresh produce at the market and said, “I own a farm in Limpopo and bring down fresh produce to sell around Midrand. I am here hoping to attract market visitors to what we offer.”

The Special Wings Foundation, which raises funds for education for children with special needs, also had a stall at the market.

Community members are encouraged to attend the next Country Market in July.
