See the Loeries’ winning campaigns at Vega

JOBURG - The Loeries have come to Joburg and before they make their way to the next city, we’re going to let you know why some of the best advertising campaigns in the country have officially made their way to Joburg north.

The Loerie Awards is an annual ceremony held in Durban to recognise businesses for their innovation and creativity in their communication with the public, stakeholders and competitors.

Last year the winners in each category were announced – some of which included public favourites such as Nando’s, Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar Land Rover, in addition to some lesser known brands – with awe-inspiring creative campaigns – including Truth Coffee and the Peninsula School Feeding Association.

Continuing the touring tradition, the Loeries have officially kicked off the nine-stop exhibition at Vega School of Brand Leadership. Students at the school are more than pleased to be able to expand their own creative minds by being able to look at what is near creative genius on the corridor walls each day.

“I mean, we’re at this school to learn how to be creative and to learn how to pioneer new pathways – hopefully,” said TK, a former student at Vega.

“These advertising campaigns are so impressive, really, and it’s really cool that we get to see how other people’s minds work. It might help us to think up some creative things in the future.”

The nationwide touring exhibition was initiated to allow young and developing innovators to indulge in the exhibition and take in the limitless scope of creativity in business.

“Developing young creative talent has been a core principle for the Loeries since its inception in 1978, and this exhibition will allow youth to explore the opportunities that exist within the brand communication space,” said Loeries CEO, Andrew Human.

The exhibition will be displayed at a number of schools for creatives across the country, so if you missed the awards, don’t miss out on the exhibition.
