Patlansky set to rock Rivonia

RIVONIA - Following a highly successful acoustic tour in February, South Africa’s acclaimed electric bluesman Dan Patlansky is set to kick off his countrywide tour.

His first show will be at the Barnyard Theatre in Rivonia on 4 March at 8pm.

Patlansky’s latest album, Dear Silent Thieves was met with critical acclaim, with Bluerockreview.com naming it the best album of 2014. A powerhouse in the South African music scene, the guitar prodigy opened for Bruce Springsteen at FNB Stadium last year, and has toured extensively through Netherlands, Germany and Denmark.

Patlansky came into the public eye in 2004 with the release of his major label debut album, True Blues which led to Selwyn Miller, manager of acts such as Randy Crawford and Petula Clark, taking him to New Orleans in 2005 and 2006 to showcase his undeniable talents.
