Armin concert billed to be a unique spectacle for fans
JOBURG - Described as a spectacle and a unique experience for fans, Armin van Buuren’s Only Intense World Tour will be hitting South African shores on 14 June. The concert has also been described as the renowned DJ’s most intense show.
According to Dionne Domyan-Mudie, publicity consultant for the upcoming show, the concert will be the opposite of what one would see at a festival and will take the audience on a unique experience.
“This [concert] will be a unique massive spectacular intended to take the audience on an emotional, musically driven journey through utopia,” Domyan-Mudie said.
She added that the concert will include live performances, firework displays, acrobats and dance performances, and will take fans through “six hours of a solid, heartfelt trance”.
Domyan-Mudie also said that the Only Intense World Tour will see Van Buuren partner with some of the best theatre producers from around the world to create a completely new theatrical experience which aims to excite and enthrall the audience.
“The team consists of over 30 people including [Van Buuren], the band, four dancers, six singers, two acrobats, a technical producer, tour manager, a producer, two show directors… and a camera crew filming the Intense Road Movie,” she added.
Accompanying the concert will be video content which will include freestyle video clips and full body animation of Van Buuren shot in 3D.
The concert will be held at the Coca-Cola dome, with tickets for the show available through Big Electronic and Computicket.
