Noordwyk Martial Arts Academy transcends mere training to shape lives and build a better tomorrow

Noordwyk Martial Arts Academy transcends mere training to shape lives and build a better tomorrow.

From the seeds planted in his youth through boxing, nurtured by his father in 2006, Brenden Tsita’s passion for martial arts bloomed into the realisation of Noordwyk Martial Arts Academy in 2019.

What started as humble private lessons evolved into a structured academy, showcasing the dedication, and perseverance, that underpin its ethos.

Noordwyk Martial Arts Academy is not just a location for karate training, it is a platform for empowerment and upliftment.

The 29-year-old Tsita’s mission transcends conventional martial arts teachings by offering individuals, especially children, a positive avenue for personal growth and character development.

With a focus on traditional Okinawan goju-ryu karate, the academy prides itself on providing a harmonious blend of hard and soft techniques within a secure, semi-contact setting.

Tsita’s emphasis on limited physical contact ensures that participants, spanning from children to seniors aged 75 to 80, can engage in a friendly and safe environment.

“At the core of the academy’s vision lies the belief that many individuals with immense potential simply require guidance and direction to steer away from negative influences,” Tsita explained.

“By channelling energies and building character, we envision a future where these students transcend boundaries and achieve greatness.”

While the path of teaching martial arts presents its obstacles, particularly with beginners, Tsita recognises the significance of consistency and perseverance.

“These traits, essential not only in karate but in life itself, serve as the foundations upon which students can grow and excel.”

As Noordwyk Martial Arts Academy continues its upward trajectory, Tsita’s gaze is set on a horizon filled with expanding student numbers and the introduction of virtual classes to cater to a global audience.

“With an eye on regular competitions and gradings, the academy is poised to make a substantial impact on the martial arts landscape,” he added.

Moreover, the academy is looking for sponsors and partners that will provide training materials and a bigger venue.

Classes are available on Tuesday and Thursday for individuals aged four and above.
