The IIE’s Varsity College Waterfall thumps other IIE campuses on Intercampus Golf Day

The IIE’s Varsity College’s Gauteng Intercampus Golf Day was a huge success for the IIE community.

The IIE’s Varsity College’s Gauteng Intercampus Golf Day at the Waterkloof Golf Club was a roaring success on October 20.

In a thrilling display of talent and sportsmanship, this closely contested tournament saw The IIE’s Varsity College Waterfall, cement its status as the top golfing team while the IIE’s Varsity College Sandton placed second.

The IIE’s Varsity College Pretoria bagged the third position while the IIE MSA placed fourth.

First-year Bachelor of Education in Intermediate Phase Teaching student Clive-James Butler said the golf day was a beautiful day in terms of weather.

“Not much wind, which made it easy to hit the ball in the direction I wanted. The day’s highlight was my tee shot hitting the pin, which was almost a hole-in-one,” Butler added.

“I shot 42 individual points for 18 holes. It was the highest points scored that day. It was the best round for me in two years which made me happy while I achieved a birdie which is even better.

“The course was in great shape as well and it was great to help the team to an awesome win.”
