Gauteng Women in Insurance host a successful golf event at World of Golf
The event empowered women to not feel intimidated while playing the sport.
An introductory lesson was provided for women to learn the fundamentals of golf and also provided them with a chance to get practical experience on the golf course.
Gauteng Women in Insurance hosted the successful one-day golf masterclass at World of Golf in Midrand.
The host of the event, Catherine Albertyn, said, “Our goal today is to ensure that you [women] don’t feel intimidated anymore so that you can confidently join any group of women or men and play golf with confidence.”
During the day, the women were divided into groups and professional golfers and coaches showed the beginners the ropes.
The women had a fruitful day as they learned more than just the basics of the game such as the importance of accuracy, focus, and concentration, all of which are crucial elements of the game.
