The IIE’s Varsity College Waterfall partnered with Halfway House Primary for a Netball Sports Day

The aim of the sports day was to build strong relationships between the schools and to pass sporting skills on to the next generation.

As part of the campus’ sports coordinator’s new initiative, the IIE’s Varsity College Waterfall netball team held a Netball Sports Day with Halfway House Primary School.

The sports day was hosted at the school’s premises on June 1 and the college netball players practised an array of netball exercises with 20 of the Grade 7 learners as part of the fun and informative event.

The sports coordinator at the college, Bhavnesh Sannasi said four different stations were set up on the day.

“Each station worked on a different facet of the game — attacking and defending, passing and control, and then vision and technique.”

“The aim of the event was to start building strong relationships with the schools in our community and to pass sporting skills on to the next generation of sportsmen and women.”
