A weekend of marathons for Waterfall City Athletics Club members

At the Makoro Village Marathon, runners Dineo Manamela took third place while Funeka Zaula came out fourth.

The Waterfall City Athletics Club thanked all its members who participated in recent races.

March 18 and 19 was a running weekend for the athletics club as its members participated in several races including the Makoro Village, Om die Dam Ultra and Jackie Gibson marathons.

On March 18 the club had some of its members go out to the streets of Hartebeesport and paint it blue at the Om die Dam Ultra marathon.

The club is extremely proud of each and every single member who had the boldness to register for this race, go to the start line and eat up the 50km race route one km at a time.

The races didn’t stop there for the local athletics club. On March 19 other members took on the Jackie Gibson Marathon.

At the Makoro Village Marathon, runners Dineo Manamela took third place while Funeka Zaula came fourth.

“What we continue to see is that running has given us all a sense of community. People we can do life with and smash our goals with,” said the club in a statement.
