Reddford House Blue Hills learners participate in the inter-house gala

The overall results of the inter-house were: team Glasgow came first, Edinburgh bagged second place and Dundee took third.

Reddford House Blue Hills annual inter-house gala took place on January 20.

The school pool witnessed a very exciting swimming gala that contained much enthusiasm and physical effort.

Each house put in a great effort and competition was close throughout the races.

The overall results saw team Glasgow in the first place, Edinburgh bagged second place, and Dundee took third.

The Glasgow team consists of Rhulani Marhule, Sabelo Maphisa, Lathi-tha Nkosi, and Lukhanyo Mqoboli.

“Congratulations to Glasgow, who were our swimming champions for 2023. They took the title with a strong finish toward the end of the gala. Well done also to Dundee on winning the spirit Trophy,” said the school.

The school also acknowledged the captains and vice captains of the houses, having started off the year with great spirit and camaraderie.

Learners Lathi-tha Nkosi and Lukhanyo Mqoboli were Glasgow captains, while Rhulani Marhule and Sabelo Maphisa were vice-captains.

For Dundee, Nyakallo Mann and Sibusiso Ngwenya got the leadership role, while Mufadzi Gumbo-Mbeni and Omphile Mahuma were vice-captains.

Edinburgh had Phokeng Khaebana and Gundo Makhavhu as captains, while Nhlalala Nkuna and Keshiv Moodley were vice-captains.

“A big well done goes to all our swimmers on their fine efforts at the prep gala, especially those who stepped in at the very last minute to represent their house team.”
