Midrand United Football Club seeks to strengthen its squad with new players

When you manage a sports organisation your most important job in the off season is promoting your league and registering players.

If your child is a youth elite soccer player, you might be wondering how to help them become a professional soccer player and accomplish their dreams on the field.

Midrand United Football Club has developed a high-performance training programme into a platform for players to develop their skills and be recognised by clubs locally and abroad.

With the aim of discovering more talent, the club seeks new players from the age of five to senior players. It strives to create a development journey that can assist local children in reaching their football goals.

The club was founded by Morgan Moodley who is the chairman and head coach, and it has been in existence for five years.

Any soccer coach will tell you how crucial a good pre-season is.

The new soccer season brings a fresh set of aspirations, and it represents a great opportunity for footballers to prepare for their goals.

Pre-season starts when the off season ends and consists of training, pre-season friendlies, transfers, and other good stuff as players and staff come to terms with the new soccer season.

For local big-name clubs like Midrand United, January can be the turning point of a successful season.

With Halfway House Primary School as its home ground, the club also appeals to local organisations to partner with them in developing the youth in Midrand and surrounding communities by way of sponsorship.

“We currently have a complete structure from U7 to U17, senior division one, and premier league,” said Moodley.

Depending on the type of league you manage, a lot of players tend to move on to older age groups and managers need to replace them with younger players hence the local club looks for more players.
