Midrand derby between Hawks and Indlovu ends in a draw

With two points from three games, Indlovu drops to position 13 on the log, while Hawks are at position two with seven points.

Newly promoted Indlovu FC were held to a goalless draw in a Midrand derby against Hawks FC after a wasteful display in the Joburg men’s regional league on November 19 at Rabie Ridge Stadium.

Hawks’ Lucky Pheko proved a real handful early on as he stretched the home defence with quick movement from end to end, but it was the home side who threatened first after 15 minutes with Mthokozisi Maseko’s strike going wide.

Although the visitors pressed their opponents in possession with a particular focus on Maseko, neither side was able to match the required quality to ignite a mostly scrappy match.
