First to hit the target, Prestige skipper Rethabile Phiri forced a smart low save from Spoilers goalkeeper Lebogang Ngqola just after the 10-minute mark. Spoilers’ Thabiso Thipe and Avuyile Mancase had many chances to break the deadlock in the first half, however, the Prestige outfielders were grateful to their shot-stopper Oratile Taolo for his amazing saves.

On the stroke of halftime, Prestige’s Mluleki Ngesi was taken down in the box and Malwanze Mathunywa slotted in a penalty for the visitors. Spoilers grabbed the equaliser 15 minutes into the second half through Matshingana’s header after a bicycle kick cross from Gilbert Mathosa.

As the match approached its dying stages, Taolo was red-carded after intercepting a goal-scoring opportunity with his hand outside the 18-yard area. Spoilers’ last victory was on February 5 against Brixton Atletico and since then have been struggling. They have conceded eight goals in their last three league matches.

Prestige are no better off as they are level on 22 points with Spoilers and will look to get all three points against struggling Donchester on February 26.
