BLUE HILLS – Reddford House Blue Hills held their inter-house athletics competition on August 13.

Head of sport at the school, Kerdrick Haggard said it had been a while since the learners had participated in sports and under the Covid-19 circumstances, athletics was one of the safer activities.

Haggard added that they have hosted other events while keeping in line with the Covid-19 regulations.

“We have hosted a penalty shoot-out for soccer and netball… We did an entire CrossFit at the beginning of the year. We had grids all over the field and the learners were each given their own lane to do their set of six CrossFit stations which was our first big event,” he said.

Haggard concluded that their top athletes would participate in the inter-Reddford School series.
The recipients for the victor and victrix ludorums were as follows:
• Junior victor title went to Nana Obeng-Adjei
• Junior victrix, Monde Mahlangu
• Senior victor, Balisi Maphisa
• Senior victrix, Makaziwe Ntsele.
The house points were:
• 1st Glasgow with 356
• 2nd Dundee with 259
• 3rd Edinburgh with 225
