Club to host cricket festival
MIDRAND – The Midrand Cricket Club will be hosting a festival to create a new development side and to get more volunteers.

The Midrand Cricket Club in partnership with the Eastern Cricket Union will host a cricket coaching festival on 14 September.
Chairperson of the Midrand Cricket Club Tshoko Moloko said the purpose of the festival was to invite youngsters of Sedi Laka and Drake Koka primary schools who are interested in the game to come and try out for the club in an effort to form two new development teams.
He added that the festival will also be a way for the club to encourage locals to volunteer for the club as scorers, umpires, junior team managers or administrators.
The festival will take place at the Olifantsfontein Oval in Clayville from 9am to 1pm.
