Northerns Football Club beat Dynz 5–1 in league game

WATERFALL – Local football club thrashes opponent 5–1 in a league game at Reddam House Waterfall.

Northerns Football Club’s U15A team put in an impressive performance to beat Dynz Football Club 5–1 in a league match on 14 July.

It was on a hot and sunny Sunday afternoon when the players met on the field at Reddam House Waterfall for their North Rand District League division two game. Dynz, visiting from Roodepoort, took a few minutes to adjust to the conditions before their football found fluidity.

When the visitors found their form, Northerns stepped up their own game and the defenders and keeper held their own to stay ahead. Northerns’ top goal scorer of the season, Keegan Crozét, worked hard to control possession in the midfield while the forwards and other midfielders pushed forward and scored freely.

Kabelo Maja scored twice while Roriang Mohasoane, Henry Molokwu and Emanuel Ganga each put their name on the scoresheet to heap pressure on their opponents.

“Overall our teams are doing well this year as we head into the middle of the season,” said Northerns owner, Theodora Crozét.

“We have a team or two which have had some challenging times, however, we are always optimistic and we continue to strive to develop players and teams of all skill levels.”

Crozét added that the club’s junior teams, from U7 to U10 level, play in non-competitive games where scores are not recorded. “They are improving remarkably year on year. Our highlights of our season so far for our senior teams are the U13s and U15As which are currently top of their divisions. U11s are second in their division and U12As are following close in third.”
