#SPARWomensRace: Irvette van Zyl wins Joburg leg of 10km race

JOBURG - The vibe on the streets around Marks Park Sports Club is electric.

Irvette van Zyl (31) clinches the win in the Joburg leg of the SPAR Women’s Race.

She crossed the finish line of the 10km race in 00.34.07.

Gerda Steyn (28) placed second, finishing in 00.34.57 while Kesa Molotsane (26) finished in 00.34.59.

Kimberley Swanepoel (14) clinched first place in the 5km SPAR Women’s Race Joburg.

Star athlete, Irvette van Zyl is leading the SPAR Women’s Race Joburg, passing the 4km mark in good time.

This is in the 10km race.

Kesa Molotsane, last year’s winner of the Grand Prix, is closing in on Van Zyl.

Joburg’s Most Beautiful Race has kicked off.

About 16 000 runners are taking part in this year’s  and the vibe on the streets around Marks Park Sports Club is electric.
