Little Kickers is back again

MIDRAND – Local soccer club will host free trials to kick off the new year.

If your little bundle of joy has a lot of energy that needs releasing, Little Kickers Midrand is the place to go to.

The local soccer club is celebrating the start of another year of kicking soccer balls, and once again its fields will be abuzz with children 18 months to eight years old.

“Little Kickers gives children a positive introduction to sport by teaching high-quality soccer skills in a friendly, pressure-free environment,” said the club owner, Manuela Jardim.

“It’s the perfect way to ignite an enthusiasm for sport that will stay with them for life.”

She added that coached in the right way, soccer could stimulate imagination and aid early development skills such as learning colours and numbers, improving memory, developing hand-eye coordination, following instructions and playing as a team.

The club is part of the international Little Kickers group, which has 1 500 coaches worldwide.

“Little Kickers Midrand is active in 28 schools and is the second largest franchise in the world. Our team of eight coaches are professional, friendly and most importantly they are able to get down to the level of our young players.”

When players turn eight years old, they graduate and join a feeder club, the Northerns Football Club, which is based in Kyalami.
