Knights Cricket Club is geared up for new season

MARLBORO – Midrand Knights Cricket Club is excited about the next year and the season ahead.

Midrand Knights Cricket Club is looking forward to the season ahead.

“As each year passes, it brings its own challenges, heartaches, lows and highs, and this year was no different,” said Jeremy Meiring, the chairperson and co-founder of the club.

The club had embarked on a new chapter after moving away from their home ground for six years at Halfway House Primary, to their new home at the Marlboro Stadium.

“We have had a very eventful first-half of the season, with all our teams still in with a shot at the titles,” said Meiring.

“The club has established a very exciting youth structure, with boys and girls representing the club at U11, U13 and U15 levels. With the junior structure still in its infancy, we can already boast a few victories.”

Meiring thanked the club’s executive committee, ground staff, coaches, sponsors – CRI Pumps and 1 Stop Fitment Centre – supporters, as well the parents for their support and contributions to the growth of the club.

“Christmas is a time for reflection and a rejuvenation of hope for the future. May we always embrace the spirit of caring, sharing, love and generosity that the Christmas season brings.

“On behalf of [the club], I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.”
