Stingers reign supreme in rugby Grand Challenge

MIDRAND – Head Stingers coach Lofty Tyebileyo and his assistant Mathew Ilsley had nothing but praise for their team.

Midrand rugby club Tshuma Stingers remain unbeaten in the Golden Lions Senior Grand Challenge after beating Alexandra Wolves 17–6 in Midrand.

Head Stingers coach Lofty Tyebileyo and his assistant Mathew Ilsley had nothing but praise for their team.

“What was encouraging to see is the team’s ability to maintain the defensive shape, the hunger to dominate the gain line battle as well as the forward pack’s dominance, particularly at scrum time,” said Tyebileyo.

Stingers’ Nathan Kok slotted one penalty and converted tries by Simbarashe Chadya and Caleb Schwarp for the win.
