Knights of soccer take home several wins in Midrand

MIDRAND – With five teams registered in the North Rand Football Association, the academy requires sponsorship for transport.

Golden Knights Soccer Academy celebrated some fine victories recently.

The academy’s U11s played against Benoni All Stars and won 1–0 at Midrand High School. The U9s claimed a 7–2 home victory over Manario and the U12s won 4–0 against Balfour View away.

“This was a good weekend for the academy as a whole,” said founder of the academy Katleho Ntsekhe. “All the hard work the players, parents and coaches have put in is finally getting rewarded with positive results. We want to be the best academy in the world but our priority is also for our kids to have fun.”

With five teams registered in the North Rand Football Association, the academy requires sponsorship for transport while playing games as far away as Brakpan. “The academy doesn’t have a vehicle and depends on coaches, parents and friends to transport all five teams,” said Ntsekhe.

“All of these people make up the Midrand community. With their help, we realise our dream of keeping children off the streets. We appeal for any kind of sponsorship that would assist with transporting players to their games.”
