Midrand’s Jordan Pepper ended his 2016 ADAC German GT Masters Championship in Germany on a good note coming in 9th position.

Pepper drove a yellow Deutsche Post Abt Bentley Continental GT3 he shares with young German driver, Daniel Abt.
The duo had a great qualifying start. but were stung with a penalty and Pepper ended up in 22nd place. He was handed a late reprieve when a red flag brought the race to a halt after the championship-leading Corvette crashed out late in the race and driver Jules Gounon broke a leg.

Pepper said, “Today was my best race of the year and definitely one I will never forget. It was a bit of a bittersweet ending, I’d say, in that we had the pace to challenge for victory, were it not for that penalty, a win was certainly on the cards considering our pace later in the race, but to come from 22nd to end up 9th in such a short time was still a very special experience for me.”
He continued, “It also reflected our overall season, it’s been super tough and we have learned so much from it.”
