Jacaranda FM, based in Midrand, will entertain runners at the Capitec-sponsored Color Run in Pretoria.
Called the happiest 5km run on the planet, the organisers of the Color Run, Sportsvendo, said this year’s event will also offer scenic views.
“We’re taking full advantage of Pretoria’s gorgeous autumn weather in 2016,” said Sportsvendo chief executive officer, Leon Swanepoel.
Capitec will donate R10 from every ticket sold to a deserving school in the area, as identified by their charity partner, Adopt-A-School.
“Last year’s school was the recipient of R83 200 raised. This year, we aim to top that number and provide a brighter future for pupils,” said Charl Nel, head of communications at Capitec Bank.
The run will be held on 14 May at Loftus Versveld in Pretoria.
Schools and charity organisations are being asked to get involved with the run by e-mailing them and getting a ‘Fun-raiser’ code. For each ticket sold under their code, The Color Run South Africa will donate R20 to that organisation.
