Auditions for performing arts coming up in February

WATERFALL - Auditions for the South African Championships of Performing Arts are calling on all aspirant performers and entertainers such as dancers, models, singers, gymnasts, choirs and more to audition in the upcoming 2016 Gauteng Auditions for performing arts.

 

One of the event organisers, Irene Lavarone said, “We are scouting for talented South Africans in the performing arts and we have two age categories, the junior and senior sections.”

The junior section is split into ages five to seven, eight to 10, 11 to 12 and 13 to 15; the senior section has 16 to 17, 18 to 24, 25 to 29 and 30 plus age groups. Auditions will be held every Saturday in February at Reddam Waterfall.

The winning artists will qualify for the South African Championship of Performing Arts National round which will be held in Rustenburg from the 1 to 10 April. At the National rounds, all nine provinces will compete against each other for the top spot, a Gold medal in each category, which means they will be selected for Team South Africa that will compete in the World Championships held in Hollywood, USA in July this year.
