Carlswald House Preparatory introduces formal sport

CARLSWALD - CARLSWALD House Preparatory School pupils began formal sport activities on 15 May.

Headmaster Stewart Tagg said, “It was a momentous day for us at the school as Grade 2 and 3 pupils played their first soccer and netball matches against other Midrand schools, including Building Blocks Preparatory School. The first sporting event took place at Curro Aurora Preparatory School on the West Rand.”

The headmaster added that this was a significant step for the school as it continues to grow and develop into one of the leading independent schools in Midrand.

“Grade 2 and 3 sports events are an important part of our children’s physical growth and development as the focus is on participation, skill development and fun. No results are kept nor is the emphasis on competition,” said Tagg.
