Midrand Strider storms to victory at Cradle race
MIDRAND - Midrand Striders running club member, Richard Seanego, won the Sportsman’s Warehouse Cradle 21km race on 27 April.
The race, which took place at Makiti Wedding venue, near Sterkfontein Caves, provided for a very scenic and fast route out in the countryside.
Seanego said he enjoyed the run, “During the run though I looked back and noticed that all the runners around me had turned back to try and run a 10km race… I ran the rest of the 21km.” He added that he never gave up, but kept running hard until the end.
Midrand Striders men’s captain Leon Baker said Seanego did well. “We are very proud of Richard and his first win today. We always new he was a talented runner and it is great to see him on the podium.”
