Showjumpers battle it out

KYALAMI - The 2014 Knowles Husain CSI-W Midrand saw showjumping classes ranging from 1.3m to 1.5m, with spectators in their numbers watching the competitive riders.

The classes were held in the Perter Minnie Arena at Kyalami Equestrian Park.

The 1.4m Welcome Stakes saw Gail Foxcroft riding Equifox Olorosso win, with Tracy Davids riding Franlaren Beau Biggles in second, and Carl Boonzaaier riding Dino in third.

The 1.4m A2 Competition Results on 14 May saw Michelle Hobbs riding Alzu Ottawa win, followed by Dominey Alexander riding Alzu Oregon in second, and Shari Navra riding Aristoteles in third.

The 1.4m Championship saw Lorette Knowles Taylor riding Nissan Udokes win after riding the jump-off clear in 0:34:06. She was followed by Anthea Erasmus riding Comazio, and Shari Navra riding Aristoteles.

Heather Robertson riding Disco won the 1.35 Welcome Stakes, with Brownyn Meredith Short placing second and third riding Capital Conlanc and Font Charisma respectively.

In the 1.35m A2 Competition it was Lorette Knowles Taylor’s turn to clinch the win riding Contest, and Johan Lotter riding Cremant v d Heffink placed second, and Lucy Gauntlett riding Franlaren Bocelli placed third.

The 1.35m championship saw Brendau Kok riding V.Rubertha 66 win, with Tamar Gliksman riding Toko in second, and Bronwyn Meredith Short riding Capital Conlanc in third.

The 1.3m Welcome Stakes went to Brendau Kok riding V.Rubetha 66, with Lorette Knowles Taylor riding Contest placing second, and Chad Cunningham riding Casper placing third.

Cunningham kept up in the 1.3m A2 Speed competition to win first place riding Caspar, while Tracy Davids riding Blakeney Boy placed second, and Laurence Mowatt riding Le Rebell placed third.

In the 1.3m championship, Chad Cunningham clinched the win riding Casper, while Jonathan Clarke riding Hummer Van Het Bevrijdthof placed second, and laurence Mowatt riding Long Beach placed third.
