Uber is a brilliant service, it’s fast, affordable and safer than the meter taxis.
Plus Uber creates jobs, unlike the government which only talks about jobs.
After years of being ripped off and treated with disrespect by the meter taxi drivers, Uber is a breath of fresh air. They are fast and effective.

Just like when the meter taxi drivers thought the Tuk Tuk vehicles would affect their business, these meter taxi drivers are complaining again. It won’t really affect them too much as they are lousy and expensive – those who use these meter taxis know better.
The meter taxi service has been a tourist rip-off for too long. They also have been mostly unregulated.
I fully support open and free business enterprises, and this is a fine example of empowering and providing jobs for people who are looking to work. Uber will create 5 000 or more jobs, in my opinion, where the meter taxis will do nothing to empower more people.

The meter taxis also litter the streets when they throw their lunch packets out of their cars with no respect for the environment, as we’ve seen on Daisy Street and Grayston Drive.
The meter taxi drivers who threaten or harm any Uber taxi driver or their clients should be jailed for the crime.
Put one meter taxi driver in jail for an attempted or perpetrated violent assault for 20 years and the others will shut up and go away.
