The elections are closer and I wonder if there will be tangible changes that politicians will effect.
As a South African citizen, I am starting to lose hope that there will be great change. Apartheid came and we conquered it, but will politicians progress South Africa or they will keep harping about the great work they did to free the country?
It is good that we have our freedom, but what do we have to show for it? Many People still live in inhumane conditions, they have very little basics to go by. In 2014 we should be celebrating that all South Africans lives in houses, but this is still a dream for many.
Some were born and will die living in shacks. Is this the South Africa we fought for? Is this nation a rainbow nation? Yet we will continue to vote, hoping for a better tomorrow.
