Nova Pioneer Midrand learners excel at Northern Suburbs District Eskom Science Expo

Among the talented pioneers were Ryan Chinhaba, Sai Charan Gurala, and Azariya Rampersadh, whose remarkable contributions stood out among their peers.

Nova Pioneer Midrand learners recently showcased their exceptional talent and passion for science at the Northern Suburbs District Eskom Science Expo held at Curro Rivonia.

The event on May 13 provided an invaluable platform for young innovators to present their groundbreaking projects across various categories including earth sciences, energy, social science, and environmental studies.

Under the guidance of their associate dean of instruction Ummi Shaik, dedicated science teachers Gugu Jiyane, Mbalentle Lutya and Judy Doorasamy, as well as the partnership of their parents, the learners demonstrated their creativity, scientific acumen, and commitment to finding innovative solutions to real-world problems.

Their outstanding presentations captivated the assessors and judging panel, who mentored the learners on their projects, providing valuable insights and feedback.

The learners’ remarkable achievements have secured them a spot at the upcoming regional expo where they will have the opportunity to present their prototypes at a later stage.

This exciting opportunity will allow them to compete against other talented individuals from different schools, broadening their horizons and challenging them to push the boundaries of scientific exploration.
