The aim of O’Week is to fully prepare students academically, socially, and mentally to enter their first day of class with confidence and someone by their side. The productive O’Week was filled with teambuilding activities, opportunities to make new friends for life, and meeting all the committee portfolios on campus. Day five of O’Week saw the students attending the Pub, Grub, and Gig, while Lungelo Moyo created the vibe for students with his live performance, followed by DJ Sycr.

Leone Booysen, a first-year higher certificate in early childhood care and education student, said, “O’Week gave me the opportunity and platform to meet new people, including my lecturers, and to get familiar with the campus. I am 100% ready to start my tertiary journey. I am grateful for the experience and thankful for the warm welcome.”
