As the year comes to a close, Ross Davis, head of Reddford House Blue Hills, feels immense pride and gratitude for the collective endeavours of learners, staff, and families.
“Together, we have built a community that fosters excellence, inclusivity, and a love for learning. May the coming year bring even more success and opportunities for growth. Wishing everyone a safe and joyful holiday season,” said Davis.
This year was marked by impactful community service initiatives. Learners demonstrated their compassion by participating in the CANSA Sprayathon, the Happy Snappers dog food drive, and the Mandela Day care packages, making a tangible difference in the lives of others and embodying the school’s values of kindness, empathy, and social responsibility.

Cultural activities thrived, with the Reddarts team impressing audiences with their creativity and skills in dance, music, and drama. The phenomenal choir and marimba team also shone at local festivals, while the Preparatory School celebrated its tenth anniversary with a major production of The Odyssey.
In sports, the U15 boys achieved an undefeated league victory in Midrand and placed second in the Johannesburg Football League playoffs, ranking among the province’s best.
The U14 boys secured second place in the Johannesburg League, and the U17 girls’ soccer team made an inspiring debut. The swimming team celebrated its first-ever victory in division two of the Johannesburg Schools Swimming League.
Individual achievements were noteworthy, with Vukanimangwe Nsele selected for the Gauteng North golf team and Lizwi Zibi invited to represent Tuks in Sweden for soccer.

Katleho Dichaba, Urifhe Khangala, Mahlub’andile Radebe, and Ntokozo Ndlovu brought home awards from the Gauteng Majorettes and Cheerleading Association provincials, and Katleho made history as the first African to perform a baton solo on an international stage.
Sentle Masango and Tshepiso Motsomi achieved spots on the Softball JSA district sides, while Noah Naidoo excelled in piano competitions. Preparatory School learners Anjali and Ashwin Varughese qualified for the 2024 Junior Mental Calculation World Championship.
“As we conclude another wonderful year, we celebrate the joy of learning, the growth of minds, and the friendships that have blossomed. Thank you to our families for being part of our journey. Here’s to a bright future for each of our young stars,” Davis added.

For 2025, the school aims to further excel in academics, culture, and sports while remaining socially and environmentally aware of the challenges ahead.
