Fire reported at the B Nagiah’s Centre in Waterfall

According to reports, a restaurant in the centre caught fire, but how bad it was and how much was damaged is still unknown.

There’s has been a fire incident reported at the B Nagiah’s Centre in Waterfall, Midrand.

Gauteng Emergency Medical Services spokesperson Xolile Khumalo said, “it looks like things are under control. Still trying to ascertain what was on fire.”

“EMS Firefighters responded to a fire incident call that was received at 11:45  at Taj Mahal Restaurant in Midrand. On arrival the Firefighters extinguished a storeroom that had caught fire. Everything is under control and fire has been completely extinguished. The cause of fire is not yet known,” said Khumalo.

Director of Hawkeye Security Services Rajan Pillay said only one shop was in fire.

“It’s not the whole centre, it’s just one shop and I just left now. It’s one restaurant and nothing major,” said Pillay.

People are urged and advised to keep the area clear and use alternative routes.
