International Miss South Africa seeks next queen in different age groups

The International Miss South Africa (IMSA) is on quest to find their next queen.

This year’s competition will take place from September 25–28 at the Waterfall Courtyard Hotel in Midrand.
IMSA is an organisation dedicated to empowering young women through personal development, education, and community engagement.

Zinhle Thupana, IMSA director, said this year they are emphasising self-care, mental health, and environmental protection.

“By addressing these crucial issues, we aim to create a supportive community where young women can thrive. I am incredibly excited to embark on this journey of empowering young women through International Miss South Africa. This platform is more than just a beauty pageant, it’s a catalyst for personal growth, leadership development, and creating a positive impact on our communities,” said Thupana.

She said they are committed to nurturing the potential of every young woman who participates by equipping them with the tools to become confident, compassionate, and environmentally conscious leaders of tomorrow.

Thupana said with a focus on environmental sustainability and leadership, IMSA provides a platform for young women to shine and make a positive impact on the world.

“This year we have over 60 young women who are ready to shine, not just on the outside, but also within. Our programme focuses on holistic development, empowering you to become a confident and influential leader. From public speaking to environmental stewardship, we provide the tools and support you need to succeed,” she added.

Launched in 2023, IMSA is searching for individuals who possess not only striking beauty but also exceptional intellect, profound empathy, and a fervent desire to make a difference.

She said IMSA offers a variety of age categories to accommodate young women at every stage of their journey. Whether you are a precious princess, a confident teen, or a sophisticated young woman, there’s a place for you.

Categories include:
• Princess: Ages 4–6
• Jr Pre-Teen: Ages 7–9
• Pre-Teen: Ages 10–12
• Jr Teen: Ages 13–15
• Teen: Ages 16–19
• Miss: Ages 20–25
