Acts House of Education learner excels at EMS Olympiad

The learner attributes her success to her hard work, the unwavering support of her teachers, and her parents’ prayers.

Acts House of Education Primary School proudly participated in the Economic and Management Sciences (EMS) Olympiad on August 14, marking a significant milestone for the school’s EMS department.

Among the learners selected to represent the school, Gianna Govender, in Grade 7, achieved outstanding success by securing first place in the circuit for independent schools.

Gianna’s impressive performance has earned her a spot in the district EMS Olympiad, which will take place on August 28.

Loshnee du Preez, head of Grade 7 and Gianna’s EMS teacher, expressed her pride in Gianna’s achievement, saying, “I am thrilled for Gianna. Her confidence during the exam was remarkable and made me incredibly proud.

“At the end of the Olympiad, she came to me and said, ‘We got this, ma’am,’ and I knew she had done exceptionally well. When I received the results on Friday and saw that she placed first, I was overjoyed.”

Du Preez praises Acts House for preparing Gianna to succeed in the competition. “Gianna’s success reflects the quality of education and the spirit of excellence we strive to instill at Acts House of Education. Our goal is to nurture lifelong learners who can thrive in a global environment, and achievements like Gianna’s are a testament to that. As she prepares for the next round, I am excited to see how far she will go.”
