GeezSA set to release debut album, Game Changer, next month

The album which was set to drop this month was pushed back by the 18-year-old artist as he wanted to make some final touches to the project

Rabie Ridge hip hop sensation, Gugulethu ‘GeezSA’ Mvubu has chosen September 1 as the date for his debut album, Game Changer.

The album which was set to drop this month was pushed back by the 18-year-old artist as he wanted to make some final touches to the project.

“It took me a period of two months to complete the album. It has been quite a challenging yet extremely educational journey for me and my team,” he explained.

“First it was beat selection. I think that was the most challenging part for me because I already had an idea of how I wanted the album to be, so I had to select them according to the mood.”

On this masterpiece, the Oracle Secondary School learner worked with Farrow OTB and Yo Cav on the mastering and mixes, while Dope Boy Trill handled the executive production.

“The production process has been fun all thanks to both my producers. There were moments when I ran out of inspiration during the process, but my team had my back and they encouraged me to keep up and go harder,” he explained.

The 15-track hip-hop album has guest features from Devine Ambush, Miilano Prisana, and Sauce Awkward Blaq Boy.

The three artists were chosen by GeezSA as he believes the artists are among the most versatile and artistic up-and-coming artists he knows, whose music inspires him. “I am truly inspired by their music.”

There is no doubt in his mind that Game Changer is a reflection of his true self, as he believes that it will fulfil its purpose and speak to the hearts and minds of the listeners.

“This album was motivated by my ambitions to turn real-life events and emotions into lyrical excellence. I think the whole project will be everyone’s favourite. It is a new vibe. I’ve never heard something like it before.”

The rapper concluded that he would also drop visuals for some of the tracks on the album as well as more music from him in the future.

The album will be uploaded to all music digital platforms.
