Midrand Reporter intern talks about the start of her journey

Intern at Caxton Local Media talks about what she can do for the community of Midrand.

Midrand Reporter intern writes:

My name is Boitumelo Enny Kekana (22) or Tumi as my friends and family call me. I was born and raised in Limpopo but I am currently staying in Ivory Park.

During my six-month internship at Caxton Local Media, I would like to see myself grow as a junior journalist, adding value to the company. I’d like to go into the field alone while coming up with good, educational and informative stories.

I would like to find the beat that I am most confident in, a beat that will bring me closer to my community. I want to be their voice and be remembered as that one Caxton Local Media intern that knew the local people.

My role from now in the Midrand community is to keep you informed and report news truthfully.

I hope to learn from our seniors as they have much to offer.
