One suspect fled and removed his overall in order to evade capture, but he was eventually arrested.

Midrand police arrested theft suspects on October 3 after Hawkeye Security reaction officers apprehended them.

Hawkeye’s response officers parked at a local petrol garage and observed items being moved from the back of a truck into a car parked at the side of the garage by two men.

Money that was paid to the suspects for the meats was recovered by the police.
