Midrand Sector 4 Crime Forum joins Sector 3 on patrol

Sector 3 residents are urged to report any land invasion activities to relevant authorities including to Ward 112 councillor Lerato Mphefo.

Midrand Sector 3 Crime Forum patrollers took to the streets to do their duties of keeping Midrand safe.

Sector patrol coordinator Otto Ramokoka said the patrol which targeted crime hotspots took place on August 6 with the assistance of Sector 4 Crime Forum members and patrollers.

“We started first at a fast food franchise next to Sanridge Shopping Centre Mall and from there we proceeded to the shopping centre. We targeted 14th, 8th and 9th roads and Noordwyk Park. From there, we proceeded to Crowthorne, Blue Hills, Country View and we ended up in Noordwyk,” said Ramokoka.

He said it was a very quiet evening and there were no incidents reported during their walkabout.

“Any resident of our sector who would like to join the patrollers, please contact our patrol coordinator. Please be vigilant, whenever you see or suspect that an empty land is being invaded. Please contact SAPS, Johannesburg Metro Police Department, Ward 112 councillor, Lerato Mphefo or the patrollers of Sector 3.”

He urged all residents to play their part in preventing crime and illegal dumping.
