Excitement as students return to The IIE’s Varsity College Waterfall for second semester

Varsity College Waterfall students return for second semester.

The journey of learning is often marked by significant milestones, and the start of a new semester is undeniably one of them.

After a well-deserved break, on July 22 The IIE’s Varsity College Waterfall students returned to campus, not just to continue their studies but to reconnect with peers and embrace new opportunities.

Among the returning students there was a palpable sense of excitement in the air. In a delightful expression of camaraderie and celebration, some students took the opportunity to create friendship bracelets, marking the beginning of this new academic chapter.

This creative and interactive activity was a wonderful part of the campus social committee’s initiative to warmly welcome back the student body as they embarked on their second-semester journey.

Vhuhone Mawela, who is currently in her fourth year studying towards a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and serves as the chairperson of the social committee at the Waterfall campus, shared her thoughts on the experience.

She expressed that the act of welcoming back the enthusiastic students was not just enjoyable, but also highly engaging. Seeing familiar faces returning to the campus after the holiday break was a refreshing sight that added to the overall positive atmosphere on campus.

“It was also a wonderful opportunity to meet some of the new and transfer students, who appeared extremely happy to be joining our academic family,” Mawela noted with enthusiasm.

As this semester continues to unfold, the social committee is fully committed to creating an environment that is both welcoming and inclusive. Their goal is to ensure that all students feel they can thrive, not only in their academic pursuits but also in their personal growth.

“By fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie through regular social events, the committee hopes to empower students to reach their full potential and make the most of their experience on campus,” concluded Mawela.
