Summerhill School SA bags third position in powerlifting competition.

Summerhill School SA learner Karamyn Naicker recently achieved a remarkable feat by clinching the third position in the prestigious Asian, Pacific, and African Combined Classic and Equipped Powerlifting and Bench Press Championship.

The stage was set in Potchefstroom, where 91 skilled SA powerlifters gathered to showcase their prowess and determination during the riveting week from July 5 to 13.

Among them stood Karamyn, a 15-year-old powerhouse from Summerhill, ready to make her mark in the elite realm of powerlifting.

With 19 athletes in the classic bench press category, seven in the equipped bench press division, 56 in classic powerlifting, and nine in equipped powerlifting, the competition was fierce and dynamic, pulsating with energy and sportsmanship.

On July 7, Karamyn fearlessly took to the platform, fueled by a potent mix of courage and determination.

Her steely resolve and unyielding spirit shone brightly as she aimed to carve her place among the best in her category.
