ElevateHer invites teens to a free entrepreneurship workshop in Bluehills.

ElevateHer is excited to announce a free entrepreneurship workshop for teens aged 13 to 16, taking place on July 2 in Bluehills from 09:00 to 12:00.

This initiative is aimed at ensuring that even teens from underserved communities have the opportunity to develop essential entrepreneurial skills and mindsets.

Anthea Windvogel, founder of ElevateHer said entrepreneurship was more than just starting a business but also about fostering a mindset of innovation and problem-solving.

The workshop is designed to plant the seeds of entrepreneurship early on, helping young minds develop the skills they need to succeed in the future.

Windvogel said with the graduate unemployment rate in South Africa at 12%, it was crucial to instil these values and abilities in our youth early on, to give them a better chance at thriving in a competitive job market.

“We believe that by entrenching the mindset of problem-solving and innovation at a young age, these teens stand a better chance of overcoming future challenges,” she said.

“Our methodology focuses on tapping into their talents and strengths, linking these to viable business ideas, and empowering them with business tools, self-belief, and confidence.”

During the workshop, participants will learn how to identify and develop their unique talents and strengths, discover how to transform their skills into business opportunities, gain valuable communication and leadership skills, build self-confidence and a growth mindset, and enhance their motivation and performance in school among others.

“Our goal is to equip these young individuals not only with entrepreneurial skills but also with a mindset that can improve their studies and overall motivation. This holistic approach ensures they are prepared for the future, whether they choose to start their own business or pursue other professional paths.”

This workshop represents a significant step towards creating a more equitable future by providing all teens, regardless of their background, with the tools they need to succeed.

“We invite parents and guardians to take advantage of this opportunity and register their teens for the free workshop as space is limited.
