They were treated to some tasty meals from McDonalds Midridge on June 17.

Ncube said the purpose of the day was to give the children a day of celebrations under the theme: ‘Do not eat alone’.

“We wanted to give them a day full of fun and create wonderful memories with their fellow brothers and sisters from the orphanage. The aim was to allow the orphans to have a meal they are not familiar with under the theme: ‘Do not eat alone’. And this was made possible by the amazing support and collaboration with Ephraim, who is the manager of McDonald’s Midridge branch and his lovely team,” said Ncube.

“This platform helps me in so many ways as it challenges me to grow my skills and brand. But it’s not only about me, it’s also about others from within our community that we assist. I advocate against domestic violence, and support victims affected by domestic violence, who stay in shelters by donating food, clothes, toiletries, and baby stuff,” added Ncube.

Matankie Makgetha, founder and owner of Bakgethwa Orphan Centre, said on behalf of the children,
“We are pleased and thankful to Yorokeye Ncube for such a nice outing and for treating our young children. I think it was a well-deserved outing for all the kids and myself as well.”
