MusicEx is an immersive music festival and exhibition experience taking place from July 26 to 28 at the Gallagher Convention Centre.
The festival will include a music competition to unearth music talent.
The centre hosted a launch on March 14 to introduce potential partners to their upcoming festival.
The event included performances by Jesse Clegg and a keynote address by Yvonne Chaka Chaka.
Andrew Mitchley from The David Gresham Record Company said the winner of the competition will receive a developmental deal worth R150 000, over and above the R100 000 cash prize from MusicEx.
