Region A Sport and Recreation hosts over 200 residents to a successful aerobics session.

The local residents celebrated Human Rights Day in an exhilarating aerobics session hosted by the city’s Region A Sport and Recreation at Busy Corner.

This session was a part of the Sport and Recreation Health Lifestyle Programmes, which have been actively promoting a healthy lifestyle among the residents throughout the month of March.

Over 200 people, predominantly women, participated in the aerobics session. The event was even more special, as it coincided with Human Rights Day on March 21.

Residents from various parts of the city, including Rabie Ridge, Diepsloot, Ebony Park, Kaalfontein, and greater Ivory, were present at the event.

The assistant director for Crum Region A, Pierre Nel, emphasised that the city recognises the importance of human rights, including the right and responsibility of taking care of our health and bodies and the freedom of movement.

He further added that the event had an overwhelming response from the community, and the Sports and Recreation Department will continue to organise Health Lifestyle Programmes in the future.
