The ‘I Am Enough’ youth conference, hosted by the Midrand Christ Embassy, was a resounding success.
The event, held on February 24, at Midrand Gallagher, saw over 100 youths and teenagers in attendance, hailing from various learning institutions and sections of Midrand.
The conference proved to be a catalyst for empowering the youth, providing them with the tools and mindset to attain their full potential.
The event featured a lineup of anointed speakers who invested a lot in the future of the youth.
Pastor Dr Joyline Josamu of Christ Embassy Midrand Gallagher, who is passionate about community development focusing on women and young people, and Ayanda Mthimunye were instrumental in making this event a reality.
Josamu challenged the young people to become more involved in the development of their communities. Discussions ranged from addressing difficulties faced within the community to personal development and other related topics.
Lerato Kgajwane provided valuable insights on how to write a CV and effectively prepare for an interview, while Pastor Dr Andile Molokome enlightened the youth about mental health awareness and what it means to be enough.
Molokome encouraged the youth to read books, eat well, be involved in sporting activities, and be socially responsible, as these help with mental health.
The conference ended on a high note, with delegates excited and grateful for the life-changing opportunity. The youth sat in groups to discuss the challenges they are facing and how they can develop solutions to change the narrative.
