Moloko Manthata takes the vice skipper role at The IIEs Varsity College FC

The IIEs Varsity College Waterfall newly appointed vice-captain takes his role seriously.

Moloko Manthata is an exceptional footballer and a third-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurship at The IIE’s Varsity College Waterfall.

Recently, he received the honour of being selected as the vice-captain of The IIE’s Varsity College esteemed football club for the upcoming season.

This exceptional student-athlete is full of joy and enthusiasm as he looks forward to working closely with Bhavnesh Sannasi, the sports coordinator at the waterfall campus, and the coaching staff to motivate and guide her fellow teammates.

In his new role as vice skipper, Manthata will be responsible for embodying the sportsmanship that The IIE’s Varsity College Football Club holds dear.

He is thrilled by the opportunity to contribute significantly to the team’s success and support the team captain in guiding her teammates.

This is a responsibility that he takes very seriously, and it motivates him to perform at his best both on and off the field.

According to Manthata, being the vice-captain of The IIE’s Varsity College FC is a significant achievement that signifies recognition of his leadership abilities and dedication to the sport. He is excited to lead her team to success and to demonstrate his innate leadership qualities through her actions.

Sannasi, the sports coordinator at the waterfall campus, recognised Moloko’s innate leadership qualities when he first met him in April last year.

“I immediately recognised his innate leadership qualities through the discussions we had around building the team to be the best version of themselves,” Sannasi explained.

“Whilst it is a great achievement to be selected as the vice-captain of The IIE’s Varsity College Football Club it comes as no surprise as Moloko is a leader on and off the field. I wish him all the best with his future football endeavours, the ongoing Hollywood Bets league and the University Sports South Africa Tournament in November.”
