Connect to Feed share festive season fever

The Midrand-based NPO gifted the young kids from Rabie Ridge and Ivory Park with Christmas gifts and food parcels.

As the festive season atmosphere is slowly settling in, Christmas came early for Ivory Park and Rabie Ridge children.

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Connect to Feed’s Christmas drive on November 26 brought joy to the children of Ivory Park and Rabie Ridge.
The initiative, conducted in collaboration with the Bengali Association of South Africa, Sandton Tigers Cricket Club, and First Vision Automation, successfully distributed a variety of gifts, including clothes, toys, board games, books, and stationery, along with essential grocery bags.

Connect to Feed’s co-founder Swati Bhagat said volunteers from these organisations formed dedicated and strong teams who had one goal in common.

They reached about 600 children in the specified locations. “The event’s success was enhanced by the generous support of Curro Midrand, who facilitated the setup of gift and donation boxes at their school premises and played a crucial role in sourcing gift items. As Connect to Feed, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to all our volunteers for their unwavering dedication, overcoming challenges and contributing to the event’s success,” said Bhagat.
