Connect to Feed’s gift wrapping session in Midrand

Co-founder of Connect to Feed,Swati Bhagat believes the session marked a significant step towards their grand December Christmas drive in Ivory Park, scheduled for December 3.

Crowthorne’s Earth Kids School joined forces with Connect to Feed for a gift-wrapping session at Isckon Temple in Midrand on October 15.

This was for Connect to Feed’s Christmas charity drive in Ivory Park.
The organisation’s co-founder Swati Bhagat thanked the Bengali Association of South Africa, First Vision Automation, and the Sandton Tigers Cricket Club for donating to the good cause.

“The heartfelt sponsorship from these organisations included food grocery packs, 300 maize meal packets, and Christmas gifts, resulting in 359 beautifully wrapped presents. However, Connect to Feed aims to extend the joy to an additional 321 children in need and need an estimated R8 000 to R9 000 to purchase the remaining gifts and toys,” said Bhagat.

She added the community spirit was further illuminated by the school which generously donated two large bags filled with clothes, toys and shoes.
“As the holiday season approaches, Connect to Feed and their dedicated volunteers are committed to ensuring that the December 3 Christmas drive becomes a memorable event for those in need. Community support plays a crucial role in making this mission a success; all are welcome to participate. To get involved or learn more, please reach out to Connect to Feed for further information.”

Two young volunteers, Yes Mlambo (17) and Darshani Rajgure (16), expressed their enthusiasm and experience of giving back.
They encouraged others to join in the Christmas drive and spread love to children in Ivory Park.
