Dedication and lessons yield rewards for school

After attending the programme, he knew exactly how to improve his community, starting with his learners which brought fantastic results.

The Learner Support development programme, Tools for Life, provided by the Scientology Volunteer Ministers applies to people of all backgrounds.

The programme conducts free seminars and has trained thousands of people at its headquarters in Castle Kyalami.

Recently, Makgongoana Secondary School in Limpopo received an award for having the highest mid-term matric score in the entire district.

This came after years of underperformance, with the school being awarded for excellent performance for the third time since 2020.

The school’s success has been attributed to the implementation of a powerful learner support approach by the principal, Dr Shapule Modjadji and deputy principal William Ramodike.

The positive change was initiated when Ramodike was trained in Tools for Life by the organisation in 2019.

He immediately implemented it in his school and produced groundbreaking results.

“I had the privilege of attending a seminar where I was introduced to a free life skills community development programme called Tools for Life. It became clear to me that God had led me to the right place,” said Ramodike.
More than three years later, Makgongoana continues to soar with Ramodike working daily to ensure that their results increase for the better and earning award after award ever since.

Recently, Ramodike was recognised for his dedication and conferred with an award, proving once more that dedication yields rewards.

“This is such a huge honour for me. It gives me more motivation to keep moving. There is much more work to be done to reverse the current scene of education quality in our nation and I am proud to be playing my part.”

Ramodike added the programme trained him in skills to handle study difficulties, communication, conflict resolution, achieving goals, ethics and many more.

He said Modjadji was instrumental in successfully implementing these learner support tools.

They found a way to pilot and put into application the valuable skills that he learned, and together with the rest of the school teachers, they worked hard to make this a success which brought renewed hope for the future.

“These Tools for Life changed my life because they are applicable in any situation in society… I am very honoured by this impressive award and we will continue marching forward to an even brighter future for our children,” concluded Ramodike.
